was founded in 1996 in response to legislative and
funding changes within the arts industry.
Our
plan was to share and exchange ideas, resources and information, to review
and improve operational practice and to provide a platform to strengthen
the position of managers within the arts.
ACVMS
provides representation for Cultural Venue Managers
and their ancillary staff within the arts industry and to other external
bodies to facilitate the professional development and training of its
members.
We
provide training in Health and Safety, how to create a Family Friendly
venue and Disability Awareness to name but a few.
